So there I was, yanking CO2 tubing off of my glass bubble counter and check valve. Now any one whos played with CO2 tubing can testify to how difficult this can be. And yes, you're probably already making the connection between glass and the difficulty...

So I have what seems to be a very deep gash on my left index finger and even worse, a broken check valve. Luckily my mate who lives above me was here to help out with the re-assembling of my finger

Now I need to find a rubber glove for this weekends tank bonanza. My redmoor wood arived!! Its soaking in the bath now :)

Unlucky! glad its not too bad though!
I did much the same with a T5 bulb luckily I didn't glass in my hands!

I'm getting lots of sympathy here! ;)

Its got to the light sting with a touch of throbbing stage. It was actually really deep!

They say you should never leave children unsupervised however old they are.

And its proved to be the case again.

I dunno youre all patient with the tank, plants, ferts etc giving it weeks and months to balance and get right.............

.........BUT THIS DAMN TUBE HAS TO COME OFF IN THE NEXT 10 SECS EARGGGHH. OUCH

LOL

Andy

Not sure if I should go to A&E to get it bandaged properly. Probably not worth the effort  I'll go buy some decent plasters today and re-do the makeshift butterfly stitches :D

Should add to the collection of scars on the same finger. I managed to slice the same finger quite badly with a craft knife when I was a kid  (are we sensing a pattern here?)

The title caught my eye. I love the word 'pleb'. It was a widely used word in the eighties in Middlesbrough. I claim the right to its revival two years ago when a work mate and I were talking about stupid insultive names.

Well I cut my big toe at the swimming toe quite deep (probably not as deep as yours. It fixed back together itself.

:lol: You spoon! Easily done though, I manage not to cut myself but Ive broken several glass things over the last year.

BTW where did you get the redmoor wood from?

Sam

Got it from AE. I had a "to hell with it" moment and bought a large piece. They actually sent me 2 good sized pieces. Both are in the bath at the moment soaking! I'll try to take some pics tonight, they're fantastic looking pieces, though one might cause problems as it branches out in 2 directions, but I'm trying to have the wood going from right to left... We'll see :)

AE - seems like a double-entendre for you! AquaEssentials supplied the glass, A&E supplied the stiches and plasters!

yes it happens to us all.

You better keep an eye on the wood it might dissapear tommorrow. :shifty: :shifty: :shifty: :shifty: :shifty: :shifty:
