FINALLY setting up the 75. Havent cleaned the 36 with a lot of babies in about a week. Just looked. Ich. On my Cardinals and some others like some of the baby plecs. I honestly have no clue what to do. I don't understand how Ich just happens out of nowhere and so fast. I am so diligent at maintenance and was super busy this last week and out of town and now I'm *******. I have my live plants here so I have to plant them and put a filter on the tank so I have to put fish in to keep it cycled. What on Earth do I do? I was thinking put all the fish who look ok in the new tank and start treating the 36, and if the 75 starts to develop Ich too, I'll just be a busy man.

Thoughts?

I think your best of treating them all before you move them other wise you will have 2 tanks with ich

yep. if u move any fish, its safe to say, ull move itch to ur new tank. just dose the 75g tank with a little ammonia to keep the filter alive while u treat the original tank.

No idea wait untill the ich is cleared myself. then when you move them give the plants a good rinse down.

I realized last night that the first two buckets of water I put in the new tank came from the old tank, so since the damage had already been done, I moved a bunch of fish over who didn't look infected.

That said, would you say it's a good idea to treat the 75 for the next ten days or so as a pre-emptive fix?
