I'm rubbing off...

We were laying in bed the other night, about to go to sleep and my fiance asks "What do you want to do tomorrow?" and I said "Clean the closet" (not that I really WANTED to do that, but I had to hah). Then he said "Do you want to go to the pet store?" and I was like "YES!" So, yesterday I met him at the pet store after work. He got there before me and when I walked in I saw him over by the bettas. I walked over to him and he was like "I'm looking at these three. I think I need another one for my desk." Then he wanted me to help him pick one. I got one ruled out, but I couldn't pick between the other two. There was another I really liked, but he didn't like him. We sat trying to decided for no more than a minute and my fiance says "Let's get all three!" haha Sooo we got all three. Then he was all excited and wanted to go to Wal Mart to buy tanks and decorations, but FIRST we went home to drop the new guys off.

When we got home, my brother was at my house with a puppy and asked us if we wanted to keep him. My fiance picked him up and held him, watched him walk around outside and all of a sudden we had a new puppy! haha Last night when we were going to bed he said "Ok...3 dogs is my limit, 2 cats is my limit, 4 turltes..oh nevermind, 5 turtles. I forgot about the green turlte...and there's always room for more fish" Geez...I'm really rubbing off on the guy, and I can't say that I can complain. He didn't have any pets before I came along, and now they're everywhere!

I'll have pics of the new guys and the puppy up in a few days. Someone has my camera right now.

His mommy is a weimaraner and his daddy is a black lab. He's sooo adorable! My fiance named him Grady.

Yay for your hubby! Isn't it awesome when they finally come around? My hubby used to not really like my "fish fetish" (as he called it) but know when I go to turn off their tank lights at night he's like Noooo! I love watching them, they help me fall asleep. He's also been wanting to help name them as of lately. Hmmm...another convert?

I'm rubbing off on my mate too. The other night I was showing him some fantastic bettas on Aquabid, and he thinks bettas are gorgeous now too. I've been blabbing for months about how I'm going to breed them someday, and he said I should breed some now. I explained the long process, and the fact I don't have room or time right now, and he agreed to my plan to wait until we get our house. Then there will be bettas on every available surface!

but now he LOVES IT.....he just sits there watchin them and he has his favorite......Angel >__> this betta thing brought us closer!!

and he helps me with water changes!

It's taking me longer to get settled into my new house than I thought it would because my family is all in town because of hurricane Katrina. I'll be ordering the book case in the next day or two, but I can't decide which one to get. I really want to one with the 25 cubbies in it, but I'd have to ask my fiance to rearrange his game room so I could fit it somewhere. I don't think that would be too fair, since I promised him he could do whatever he wanted with that room, so I may end up getting the 16 cubby one.

Don't worry, I'll be posting pictures as soon as it's all up and ready! Give me a week or two

Yeah...he's also not so cute when he's hungry at 2:30 in the morning and decides to convince us that he's dying of starvation by making the most god awful yelping and whining sounds. He's still cute during the day, though.

Thanks! haha Yeah...I can't say that I've found a dog that I didn't like. (Except sometimes my brother's black lab jumps on my and almost knocks me over and scratches me all up, but that's not really her fault. He didn't train her. I still like her, though. haha)
