i must condem people that buy fish and dont look after them i have today rescued 2 red fin sharks/1 catfish/1 very large sucker and several other fish from dying as the owner left them in such a state i could punch them about the thick black dirt of decaying food and poo and the black water to which they swam in. i cleaned them out and now they are happy!!
so happy me and happy fish!!!! the sucker fish to which was in a little hexagon tank the size of a match box just did my head in as he is a big one. so they be happy dont u agree!!!!

 Well done Mel, keep up the good work. Some people go through phases buying this, trying that but haven't got the patience to commit themselves. OK buying a camera or the likes and throwing to the side when you get fed up, but when you have livestock of any kind you must be willing to give them the best life possible. ;) Anyway, next we'll be hearing that you are converting your garage to a Fish Rescue Centre!!! :D Mac.

Well done :D

I'll ned to get an award for you. Maybe a certificate that you can hang on your wall.

Anyway keep up the good work. 8)

Well done Mel :D
Mac. That's a good idea I'll just hang a sign saying "Tropical Fish Reacue Centre[/B]" above the fish hut and wait for peeps to bring me loads of free fish. lol

Mel,

Good to see that people still care for animals in whatever form they take nice one and I too get really p***** off when people treat the so called pets in this way.

Well done mel!

Whats wrong with a fish rescue centre you get them for cats and dogs.

I wanna have room to set up a huge tank for all the red tail oscars and plecos and stuff you see crammed into lfs tanks cos there better off there than some idiot who bought the fish without thinking. This fish gets to 2ft my tanks only 2ft long> Well HELLO do the maths thicky!!!!! GRRRRRRRR.

I will get off my soap box now.

I'm also Grrrrrr'ing because my neighbour recently flushed a live, perfectly healthy dwarf gourami down the toilet because he caught it nipping the fins of a guppy. This poor fish had been living in a 3'x1'x1' tank with around 45 tank-mates and no doubt appalling water conditions. I could barely sleep for thinking about those poor fish :(

Reminds me of someone I know, they wanted a tank - went a bought a 3' x 1.5 x 1.4 - filled it with bright red gravel, a rock in the middle and 34 fish  Not one plant (wanted the "minimalistic" look to go with the rest of the decor :=) - didn't cyle the tank. After a week they promptly went away for 2 weeks holiday - came back to 1 fish :grumpy: How it survived God only knows. So, what did they do - throw the whole away and do exactly the same again (without the holiday this time). And they think I'm the nut for caring about fish!!!!! IT MAKES ME MAD
