Well it happend today! :D

Yester my LFS had everything Half price so I went to check it out, Now almost like 70% of times my cories die on me. I bought 7 of them plus 5 more that I have. Ok The sterbais are in my 55 gallon so far there doing great 2 of them died on me on a power outage. So when I got home I had 7 wittle cories swimming around the bags. I grabbed my planted 5 gallon tank I put them in there. It was gravel at the time but they kept digging thru. So I went to the garden store and bought 150 pounds f sand. Im doing my 55 gallon into sand right now as we speak. So I decided to change my 5 gallon into sand too. So I grabbed my sand cleaned it and put in my tank. I let it settle turned the filter and a little cleared up. SO right now I just put the cories back and the other fish. and OMG I couldnt believe it they were digging almost half there body in the sand. I just fed them BWs and there digging there fins out. Im officially in love with these guys!

of course man, how can u not love corys, great cleaners with great character. i personally like the bronze corys myself :D

Corys are totally the coolest fish around!!

I am big fan of the Adolphi, Julii and Pandas myself but I only have Brochis at the minute, definately adding some more when I go Wharf Aquatics in a couple of weeks though.

Anyone seen the Top 100 Fish from Practical fishkeeping mag yet???

Some cool fish in there, Panda Cory came in number 2, won't tell you who got no. 1, you will have to wait and see.

Cory cats, bronze to be exact, were the second species of tropical fish I ever owned, after zebra danios - I now adore bronze cories and corydoras leukomelas which I think is the blackfin cory.

i have to admit that i love my corys!!! but i am a bit divided as i just picked up 2 ottos and love them instantly b/c they immediately went to work on the pesk little algae spots i had in my tank!!! i will have to keep some of each from now on... :kana:

Hi JoKeR :)

It's hard not to love corys! They seem to interact more with each other than any other fish I have seen.

I bet they really are enjoying the sand in your tanks. I keep wanting to change my gravel to sand, but it would be a lot of work so I keep putting it off. :/
