they are ugly, & not something I like, but my Batman snails, leave them all over... but they disappear pretty quickly, in my tank, so, is something eating them ( Armano shrimp, for example ) or are they dissolving pretty quickly, in my pretty neutral tank water, that has quite a bit of tannins in it... the snails ( pest snails, assasins, & Batmans ) and the Armano shrimp are all long lived, so I assume the water is likely not dissolving the egg cases, as no one is having shell problems???

In my tank they last quite a while and turn brown before decomposing, but still there's remains that last for a long time.

mine never last more than between a week or two... I've not witnessed anyone eating them, but think maybe the Armano's that have been in the tank for a couple years, but have never had shell issues, shedding in the softer water??? maybe the pest snails ( there are also a lot of them ), are eating them for the calcium???

lucky... mine lay them on green plants, on the glass, on each others shells, etc.

I have heard many people dislike nerites for that reason. I would like to know why mine don't lay any eggs. I have had at least 15 of them over the years.

I believe they are sexual, so maybe you never had both sexes, at the same time??? the way the egg cases emerge in my tank... I have like 6 nerites... I must have one busy male, and the rest females???

That would be pretty crazy if out of 15 there was not one female.

I believe the females are capable of asexual reproduction.

last week these stems were completely covered... there are still several here, but like 1/4 of what was here last week
