hi there all,

my names tony n im new on this site and to the world of fish.

im thinking about getting a siamese fighter think they look amazing and the names cool too.
right i live in the uk will i need a water heater?

in your honest opinion are bettas? easy to look after? and tempremental about there water conditions?

any help will be fantastic

Tony :fun:

erm not too big prob bout 2gallon dont know only having one betta in so not too big not too small.

i have no experiance with fish at all so these heaters you can get how does it regulate the temp i dont want it to slowly boil the water :/

Plenty of people keep them in unheated tanks, it depends how cold your house gets I suppose, but a heater isn't that much.

They are very hardy fish and don't tank too much looking after, with a 2G you don't really have many options and a Betta would be pretty happy in it.

yea i just want a real nice lookin betta in a classy 2g tank.

right uve got to bear with me on this one cos at the moment all i know about fish is that they live in water and bettas look amazing could someone do me a step by step guide to cleaning one out(im so sorry if i sound dumb but i havent got a clue ive only ever had hamsters) :*)

thanx for all your help everyone and when i finally get a betta ill post some pics

thanx again

Tony :fun:

What about a 5gal then some corys for the bottom.

Yeah^
Bettas are tough little critters, they can ealily live with heaters or filters, but they do require frequint water changes.
