Im Looking For A Hospital Tanks

id say no, you would almost find it impossible to keep the water cool enough as a heater in that size will boil your fish! Also what are the sizes of fish that you keep and will possibly have to go into this tank?

Look for a rectangle tank on ebay possibly, i got a great 40l glass tank with a lid, light, heater etc for almost the same price!

Not true, almost all heaters have thermostats that regulate their temperature... they turn off when the temp hits a certain level (either set internally or by a dial)... it won't boil your fish unless it breaks.

There is the hydro mini-heater that's 7.5 watts that I use in my 2 gallon and it keeps the water at 78-80.

Like was mentioned above, in the US you can find ten gallons for around $15. . .I bought mine, got a heater, filter, found a second-hand tank stand and was all set to go.

ok thanks for pointing that out, although i feel the main issue is the size if fish this 'tank' may need to house. He may have something like a clown loach that needs to be q'd and it can not but put in the tank to heal as it will cause more stress!

What fish do you keep currently?

Obviously it depends on the size of the fish that it might need to house but pets @ home do an 11 litre tank with a filter for £15 (I think). It would save you a tenner :)

Beware if you're putting it in your room though - that filter is very loud!

I can't find it on the internet site but if you have a shop near you they'll probably stock it :) it's called a children's starter kit I believe.

You cant have a heater in that tank cos its not toughened acrylic, pets at home do a few glass ones that are a similar size, they do one the same as the mermaid one for £20

Aqua one do a few small ones; they do aquastart 320, I think they do a new one at 420 and I think I've also seen another small one but I don't know the number of it. E-bay had a few of the aquastart 320's on a while ago for around £15-20. They have a website as well so just do a general search to see what is available.

I bought an aquastart 320 a few months ago for £40 from Dobbies garden centre if you have one close by; otherwise they were £60 else where and I think £80 in Pets at home; however my local pets at home doesn't have them but some further away do.

I have a various species but the hydro mini-heater is heating my 2-gallon "hospital" facitility for a single small fish. Nothing similar sized to a Clown Loach! Don't those get really big? Will the little tank you're looking at potentially be too small?

I really feel Q/H-Tanks need to be more like 5.5 to 10 US gallons except in single fish circumstances. Just my 2cents
