Well i have decided that i dont have enough time for SW these days so im packing up my salt and hydrometer (will prolly give all the bits away) for good. My tomato clown if off to the pet shop (a really good one so im sure he will be fine, im going to ask if they will put him in the massive display tank and not sell him)
As i need more and more time for my growing reptile 'collection' thought i would let everyone know (Lol most of you prolly dont even know who i am)

I would also like to Thank everyone who has helped me and not got annoyed at all of my questions.
Thanks guys :good: :good: :good:

It was fun why it lasted

Sorry to hear that! I know how sad you are feeling right now as 2 years ago (on this very day too) i had to give up my beloved Marine tank as we just couldn't afford to run it anymore. Things are a little better for us now though so we are just starting to get things for my new Marine that i will be setting up in the next few weeks. Maybe one day you can get back to it again?

Thank you,
I dont think this is the complete end of marine for me, but im defo going bigger when i come back (few years) im looking into breeding leopard geckos and i the fish wouldn't have enough attention.

a gecko.... vs a full sick awsome coral reef tank with coralline algae, fish from 5 different places in the world, a tank nature reserve, exploding with color that your eyes hurt with interacting fish, shrimp, snails, crabs etc@!!!!!!

Well i guess im now sounding like one of those lean cuisine ads.....

lool But then there is all the work, salt everywhere and you can physicaly interact with geckos. Its not just a gecko, i have snakes too and i want a chameleon or Bosc which take up LOTS of time.

sad to see you leave salty side!!

ive seen your leapord geckos in another thread! wish i would get a few, and a yemen chemeleon tempted by one at work, rather start off easy first though. good luck with the breeding.

when you come back to marine you can go bigger im thinkign 12foot that will get you interested, few rays you can interact with them :p

Lool, maybe not a 12 foot but i seen an 8x2x2 foot for about £200 that i might get and leave in the basement till i come back to marine.

And yeah go for a leopard gecko, silly easy to care for and lots of different kinds (not all costing a bomb)Lol

Sorry the hear your leavng SW, but I understand your reasoning, GL breeding the leopard gecoks, and you're right, silly easy to care for lol just like a Pacman frog or Emperor Scropion.

i left marine about 2 months ago and have went back to tropical. i am attempting on breeding the siemease fighter fish and so far so good only 1 problem. the bubble nest was built he had bred with her but she let her eggs out late so they never got fertilised. o well im gointg to try gain soon. doesent tank long for them to get into condition for breeding. i know exacly how you feel. i couldnt afford to run my tank so i just packed in. my yellow tang died and i became distraught then things were starting to go wrong so i gave them back to the pet store.
good luck with your reptiles.
