If you mean your only going to put in your betta after doing a weeks worth of fishless cycling.... well your tank will have only started cycling and your ammonia and nitrite reading wont have reached peak yet. So your not doing your betta any favours your betta will have to be present while your tanks parameters reach maximum and you risk losing your betta to poisening. Doing fishless cycling takes time 4 weeks or more

lol not just let the water sit in the bowl for a week, that would be rather pointless.


You could just get a betta now, age the water and do 100% water changes weekly, it's too hard to cycle a bowl.

I waited a week before I put my Bettas in bowls, I just added some Tap safe and I done some tests on my water to see if it was ok to add them to the bowls there all doing just fine and are strong and healthy so I would leave the water in a week, buy some Tap safe add a cap or so to the bowl or tank, Just check with your local aqarium first, add that to the tank or bowl and then do some nitrate, pH etc tests.
