OK I tackled the acidic water thing a week and a half ago & I think I have the water at an acceptable level so as not to grow algae. Now if only it will stay. Two days ago I woke up to one of my Cory Cats having a white patch (that is now pinkish) just over one gill. Looked a lot like he scrapped it on something but I am no expert, I don't know... What if it's a fungus?? Well, anyway, this morning he has 2 eye ball sized dots on either side of his nose. I've been watching him & he acts completely normal. These spots are exactly where that area of his body rests on the substrate when he is doing his catfish thing rooting in the bottom. So maybe he banged himself up? But I've had him for 2 months and this is the first time it has happened??!! I'm a basket case worrying over these fish! Am I nuts? Should I be worried? What should I do? I also have a filter question but I'm going to make a separate post.
