First of all, thank you to all of you for the congratulations and compliments on the ring!
... so tell us all about your wedding plans.... i mean everything! i get v v giddy at weddings
There's not much to tell yet I'm afraid. Until we have the legal work sorted there's not all that much that we can do. We'll be talking to the registrar on Tuesday to confirm that I can indeed get married in England, and what sort of paper work I'll have to bring over from Holland. We've spoken to the priest (I'm not religious, Peter isn't very religious, but still wants to have a church wedding) and he's more than happy to marry us =D So that's 1 of the few things that is sorted, the church. We're hoping very much to get everything sorted in time to get married on the 28th of May this year. May because it's spring, and the 28th because we met on the 28th.
I've bought my dress already =D I can't show you it though, not until after I've gotten married anyway, so you gotta wait a couple of months for that. We'll be picking out bridesmaids dresses next weekend, and hopefully we can get pale orange dresses. For flowers we'll probably have white roses and orange tulips. Very odd combo, especially for a wedding, but goes well with the spring theme and orange and tulips of course being Dutch helps.
I'm hoping to do the ceremony in church, and then go down to an outdoors venue somewhere in gardens where we'll be allowed to set up a marquee and do our own catering. So far however, that's not proven all that easy to find.
I'm sure there will be more to tell in due time, but for now that's as far as we've gotten.
Congo rats. Good to see Lard making an honest woman out of you.
I guess this means he won't be bearing my children after all
Ah, to be an 'honest woman' =P I still torture him and annoy him daily, yet he sticks with me ... ain't he brilliant? =D Nah, you know what me and Peter are like. We still love each other to bits after having been together for 5 years. Don't think that will ever change either.
