okay well today my female betta started building a bubble nest

then it started to chase the other one and they like entangled and they are ripped up and currently lip locking.

have i been mistaken and i bought a male plakat

help i dont know what to do

I don't even bother looking at fins (though they usually make it apparent) for sexing... the egg spot is all you need.
