Well after a day of visiting over 10 LFS in my area, I have found NONE of them will order any corys apart from C. Aenues (sp?). I am really interested in expanding my little collection, with seperate species, such as Panda Corys, and I am especially interested in some of the Lazer variety.

However, I am now beginning to doubt the fact these are obtainable in the UK. Does anyone have any ideas of where would be a good place to look? Also, what do you think to shipping from the US, I have contacted suppliers and they will send me the fish (v. expensive shipping costs), however they will offer know live fish guarentee, meaning if they dont make it I am likely to lose around $60 USD.

Have you tried Wharf Aquatics in Pinxton? We are from Derby and frequently go there. They normally have difference types of cory's and we've bought panda's there before Not bad prices and they have a gorgeous variety to choose from. Go to www.wharfaquatics.co.uk

Been there, and picked up some Bronze Corys, although that is the only stock they had available when I went. And, two of them were dead the next day, but all the others have been fine for over 2 months now.

You can order a number of different cories from Trimar in Cornwall; he has a good reputation.

You can also try Wholesale Tropicals in London - they ship fish (I think shipping is around £10 or so). They have an amazing range of all sorts of corys (lots) and their fish are always in superb condition.
I've seen green as well as Orange Lazers there, but I can't remember seeing any when I popped in last week. Worth giving them a ring and asking though - I'm sure they can order in for you.
I can highly recommend stock from Wholesale Tropicals.

I got the last Panda from a large specialist centre near Blackpool that I use. They said that Panda were no longer on their import lists anymore so could not get any more.

Not sure if this is a national problem though
