The orangey bits on the sand are the dreaded flatworms which are having a bit of a population explosion since I moved house in February although I'm getting them under control now(albeit slowly). I leave a few tufts of algea for the dwarf angel to pick(keeps it off my corals).

The little bits of green on the rock are a really tough hair algea ,I don't mind a bit of the stuff and just pull it off if it gets too big(although thats incredibly difficult) but the big lump in the back is cheato. The flatworms are just an eyesore really when they have a population explosion but can also irritate corals if they take to sitting on them.

Good lookin indeed. Get a wrasse in there to munch on some flatworms :)

How long has it been running?
In this particular tank since feb,but it was all in a different tank before that(we moved house and I took the oppertunity to change tanks)

Beautiful! What size tank?
180 litres or 45 US gallons

Ha ,I already did,a sixline but it seems to like nibbling the angels nori more than flatworms  You can see it by the toadstool in the pic.

luvly looking tank mate, get ol' gregg in there hell have your flatworms sorted. Nah seriously your probably better of with things like leopard wrasse or a madarin to munch on them. Id watch your sixline though as he might have a go at a new wrasse in the tank

id shy clear of having a mandarin and wrasse share a tank of that size, mandarin may get starved out.

I've no intention of adding any more fish than what I currently have!!!
It was a toss up between a sixline and a mandarin for flatworm duty and I chose a sixline as my wife has always wanted one.Like I said the bloody thing dosen't go anywhere near the flatworms maybe a mandarin would have been a better choice but there you go thats life

How do you find haveing cheato in ur tank? dont you get bits floating about? how you get it to stay in a bunch?

The chaeto lives in a H.O.B refugium, the big lump of the stuff in my tank was a small piece that came over the outlet from the refugium. I just wedged it behind my skimmer intake to see how quick it would grow under the main lights. You don't really get many loose bits it just grows in a tangled lump.
