Im After Schooling Fish. Any Recommendations?

Hi all

I currently have an antennata lionfish, foxface rabbitfish and a kole tang. Oh and a huge cowrie.

This is in a 50 US Gallon tank, I'm after some cool schooling fish.

Any suggestions?

I don't want chromis as they look to boring IMO. I was thinking Anthias. How many do you recon I could keep?

I know I'm a bit limited with the lionfish but it is quite small at the moment around 4 inches.

I also don't have a lid on my tank.

Hi mate,

I'm afraid to say that your tank is already "full up". I wouldn't add anything else in there. In fact, my first priority would be to remove that kole tang to a tank 2 - 3 times in size. They get big.

Your tank is way to small for Anthias, same goes for the Tang, even the fox is pushing it IMO

Really?

They seem to be fine and are swimming around everywhere.

The fox is bright yellow now which I have heard is a good sign.

The tang is quite small still around 2.5 inches.

Those were the only fish I could keep on account of the Lion.

Unfortunately all these fish are going to outgrow your tank. The tang will grow up to 10 inches.. the foxface grows equally large and is an extremly fast grower too.
