Jeremy Gay (PFK deputy editor) is lending me, for 6 months, his 120x40x45cm braceless, rimless tank with 4x54w T5 overtank luminaire + Ecocomplete substrate, pressurized CO2 etc.

JamesC is kindly supplying me some of his PMDD+PO4 dry ferts for dosing. Trace will be Tropica.

I have 2x 1200lph externals, full glassware, inline everything, so it should look the business. ADA style without the £££.

Currently it's stocked with some nice rocks (Aqua Essentials) and an awesome glosso rug (thanks to Tropica) - minimal Iwagumi. Look out for it featuring in the Christmas PFK issue.

I'll be using it for 'playing with', hopefully getting a few decent 'scapes to learn from.

I'll be trying my hand at some stem layouts, something I've not done since I started the hobby a few years ago.

When it's time to give it back I'll set my own tank up, opti-white with custom cabinet etc. using the lessons learnt from Jeremy's tank.

I've decided against a big discus tank for numerous reasons. Time and money being two biggies...

I'm not sure what I'll be doing with my current Juwel Rio 125. After my latest 'scape is complete, I may donate it to a local school and teach the kids how to maintain it.

I've wondered about setting a tank up at work (IT Support, High School 13-18) but I have no clue whether the time exists to maintain the thing - it is something I may consider though, even better if I can get somewhere to sponsor stuff! Low light may be a good option....

That explains the RM box in one of your kitchen photos! Great for moving house (as I found out, 3 times in a row last year )

I would love to have the money to do it :) Of course, I'd need to have the motivation too, something I find is lacking of late (in general).

Motivation - summer holidays are strange - you either come back raring to go (to work) or raring to go (back home again). Currently I am the latter which I am finding hard to shake off! Oh the dreams of my own dedicated planted tank shop and website!

Nry, you should open one! I'd buy stuff from you any time!

If I could guarantee a £25,000 income per annum (family, mortgage etc!) then I'd be doing it!

Yeah! then work your way up to a dedicated website then the shop. And remember that planted tanks are growing in popularity all the time.

I am waiting for a reply from the TFF site admin in respect to something in that vain....

Well! looks like the gears are already turning :)
what aspect of planted tanks are you looking into entering cause I could do with a more powerful filter for my 10gallon and some nice stones and unusual plants from my 11inch cube.

Not allowed to say anything until I get a response :)

pshh. well thats fair enough, if its a success I might have to become competition, 18 year olds always need money :p
