Guppies need a varied diet to be at their best and to get all the vitamins they require.
I feed
Staple flake ( just standard flake)
Veggie flake
live baby brine shimp to the fry
freeze dried & frozen tubifex
freeze dried and frozen brine shrimp
live brine shrimp( adults when I can get them )
frozen blood worm
I have tried peas and other household veggies but my guppies are a bit spoilt and will not touch them although they do enjoy some catfish algae flakes.
I read your other posting and realise that you are on a tight budget
so please do not think that you have to give them all those things above
The basic food should be flake staple - ( just crumble realy small for fry). You already have that and some bloodworm.
Next time you get your allowance try to get some veggie flake ( I use one called Flora) Alternate that with the staple flake so that after every two staple have one veggie. Again you can crumble the veggie flake really small for fry.
Next time you have shrimp at home chop up a little ( no dressing please
) very finely and give them some of that.
If you live near open water - go to your local library and get a book on pond critters. Daphnia can be collected but be careful near the water - go collecting with an adult. Once you have them they can be bred in a glass jar on your window sill.
Finally for baby fry the best food is BBS ( baby brine shrimp you hatch yourself ) the eggs are a little bit expensive but last a long time.
Cruse the internet for Guppy sites - they will give you lots of good info.
good luck with your research.
