VENT VENT......What I have seen so far I am hating the new look.

I expect it is because I am a grumpy old man but why oh why have you done this? Before, everything was on display, defined and clear but now it is all the opposite to that.

This morning I logged on in an extreme hurry as someone was about to pick up a tank I was selling and I wanted to be able to tell them how much ammonia to put in it to start the fishless cycle. OMG, I thought I'd logged on to another (inferior) forum site which is exactly what I had to do after failing to find the aquarium calculator on here.

I am wishing to stir up a hornets nest here so don't be afraid to comment when saying yes or no to this new format. (I would start a poll if I could see how )

However, I do appreciate the hard work Mods that you have put in but I am afraid it's like 'feeding strawberries to a donkey' doing it for the likes of this old hand

Hey Doresy, you sound like one of the many fishkeepers I hang with, and by your av, kicking back as you are you probably are pretty much the same.

I'll try to put it in guy terms, hope you're a little familiar with kitchen remodeling. We tore everything out, that was the downtime a couple of days ago.

So far we have the floor installed, and cabinets hung, counters are going in, sink & other devices to be hooked up shortly. Is the kitchen completely functional yet? No, but there is room for all the pots, pans, dishes, it is usable. Once the counters & sink go in we are waiting on a couple of matching 2" trim pieces for next to the stove, they have to match the new cabinets.

It is very similar with here, functional, but the little things that make it complete need to be done, and will be done. Expect a skin that looks like the old one shortly.

So, with our new imaginary kitchen, it takes a little getting used to how the faucets work, the door & drawers open, where switches for lights & the disposal are located, and so on. Same thing applies here, we certainly aren't done remodeling, excuse our dust for lack of a better phrase!

Why? Enhanced functionality, better security measures.

Now that's no way to be, we want to make this as functional & appealing as possible. We really do appreciate all input, and we try to explain it as thoroughly & easily as possible. If this means explaining it a dozen different ways I have no problem with that at all, as long as members get an explanation they understand.

Still not liking the new look even with the original skin, maybe becasue i never used this skin anyways. Any chance i/we can have the dark blue skin that was once here?, not sure what it was called but it may have been just called dark blue lol.

Anyways... to all mods desite not liking the new site/skins, thankyou for taking the time to sort all that you have to sort out

Already looked and it's not there , there is one but the layout is basically just writting scrolled down the page with no acvtual layout lol
