I bought this catfish a few weeks ago

It has just started getting bolder and will now come out to feed

I was sold it as a Black lancer but I'm sure it isnt

Most of the time it swims upside down but I'm sure it's not a Synodontis

If anyone could identify it I'd be very happ

Sorry about thw quality of the pictures - It only comes out when there is food in the tank and wont keep still for photos

Mystus luecophasis, or Asian upside down catfish if you use its common name. Gets to about 10 inches, will eat fish up to a third of its own size and becomes increasingly aggressive with age, not a fish for a happy community tank.

edit: damn you posted that just as i was writing out my post

Thanks

Always frustrating when that happens :)

Oh well lucky my tank isn't a happy community tank

It's about 3 inches at the moment and not causing any problems yet - an eye will be kept on it
