I was given a complete 55 gallon tank today. It has everything, bio filter, heater, hood, light, decorations, etc. It also came with some fish. I would like to know what they are and can I keep my livebearers in with them. I don't think they are compatable  .
Someone please help me.

1st pic looks like a congo tetra and a couple of rosy barbs which should be fine together.

Not sure on the catfish, sorry

Thanks for the reply. Will they live peacefully with my swordtails, plattys, and guppies or should I find them a new home.
Bryan

You should be OK mixing these fish with your existing ones. Keep an eye on the barbs though, they can be fin nippers and the guppies might be tempting. Try it and see how they get on.

The catfish picture won't show now but I'm pretty certain it wasn't a common Pleco, sorry Breezer40.

The Catfish was the only pic I could see and it was the same as my common :/

Still can't view the catfish pic, would like to clear that up as i hate contradicting people, sorry again Breezer40. If it is a common Pleco, you could do with knowing as they get huge, should be just about ok in a 55 gal though.

Managed to view the 2nd pic by typing in the url and guess what, I've changed my mind, i think it is a common Plec. The tail doesn't look quite right but i think its just the pic. Sorry for the confusion and apologies again to Breezer40. :D

I can only see the white skirts as well, which look like they may be dyed? :/ Are they pink?

The females are pink, the male is very pale pink or almost white. I was given the fish, they might have been dyed. The people who gave them to us told us the color has been fading.
