Hi all

Want you to have a look at my pictures of some egg clusters layed in my tank there are loads of eggs about Ø2mm stuck to the glass. Who lay-ed them.....?

I removed a cluster of around 15-20 last week but have decided to leave these.

I came down the other morning and noticed about 10-15 eggs on the face of the tank on the glass, after looking around for more found another 2 clusters on the support brace of the tank.
In all they are approx 50-60 eggs all lay-ed in the main flow of the pump jet filter, I take that it is to oxygenate the eggs. They are no were else in the tank
I think they maybe assassin snail eggs but not sure thought they where hard to breed and for the shear volume of eggs layed....! :hyper:

Not sure what to do if they are assassin snails for the reason to sell them on, I would like to remove them and place them in a breeding pen that I hang from the top of the tank.

Saying that not sure at what stage to do this....... will see like to confirm what they are first...! :good:

Many thanks

PJGoblin :good:

Thanks for looking

Definably not assassin snails, I would put my money on the corys personally, but very rare to have Pink eggs, usually pink eggs are from Apple snails and the like.

I have corydoras panda. They always put their eggs under leaves.
I believe you have eggs from other corydoras. After several attempts I managed to raise the fry to adult size.

I removed all eggs from the tank and put them in a breeding floating net, but not on the ground level, because other fish from the tank might try to eat and stress them.
The eggs will hatch after 4-5 days if the water temperature is around 25ºC.
The eggs are sensitive to fungus, so the breeding net should be kept as dark as possible. I use floating plants for that.
Fry hatch after 3 days and are free-swimming in 3-5 days. Fry best temp is 22-23C. Young should be fed small live foods such as white worms.

I keep one cherry shrimp with the eggs to pick any fungal spores from healthy eggs.
Cherry shrimp will eat diseased eggs, but leave healthy ones unharmed.
I also captured on film a shrimp playing with the eggs.
