I have a little pleco and I need help identifying it.

I went into the pet store asked for an algae eater, and I got a pleco. I know too big for a 10 gallon [which I bought it for, I'll rehome it] anyway since the LFS guy [which is pretty knowledgeable about fish] gave me this pleco for a 10 gallon tank I assume it is stays small.

I've had it for a few weeks and it hasn't grown much, it has a little bit of white on it's body. So do you think it may be a different kind of pleco?

Absolutely no idea without a pic I'm afraid -_-

You could take a look through here and see if you recognise any of them?

Here's the main contenders in LFS:

Common plec:

Gibby:

Bristlenose:

Otocinclus:

Not plecos - but often sold as such - Chinese Algae Eater:

But TBH there's thousands of different types of plec, without a pic its unlikely you'll get an id. Good luck!
