Identification Of Red Fined Fish On Grand Designs Last Night?

Hi every one,

To be honest im not sure if it was tropical or salt water tank but does any one know the species of fish in that tank that was silver with red fins they looked shark shaped and i want some i have a 50 USG tank waiting that could be put to good use.

I didn't see the programme but could the fish have been a Rainbow Shark? If you google it you should find some pics - they are a light greyish colour with red fins.

Thats the one, and i see from the info that they need 100G so maybe not in my case but there funky looking fish!!

That tank was AWESOME! The Congo Tetras were a particular highlight. Yellow Labs looked amazing as well. Could easilly be mistaken for a saltwater tank.

When they first set up the tank it was an Lake Malawi set up complete with massive Pleco. But when he did the revisit several years down the line it had changed to a more Tetra based set up.

I think those red-finned fish were Tin Foil Barbs:

They were too broad and too big to be rainbow sharks!
