My tank is against an external wall which is 6 foot from a drain....i want to drill through the wall behind the tank and have a system where i can open a valve on my tank pump/close another and wooooooosh. Water leaves the premises!

Now i have std rubber pipe on the pum and std plastic waste pipe outside - how best to do this?

1. Take the rubber pipe through the wall (polyfilla around it) and just have the pipe run loose into the waste outside - bit like a wshing machine does.

2. have the waste pipe come into the house and some sort of male/female joint to the rubber pipe.

option 1 is easy and will work.

option 2 is better if i need to unhook the pipe (cant think why i would but you never know!........any thoughts?

I'm not much help, but make sure that it doesnt freeze up in the winter.

I could see that being a problem where I live, not sure about yourself though. It would only be a problem is it had any water left in the pipe at any joints or elbows maybe?

I've done it, pumped the water out of the 65 in the living room, out the front door, watering the planter flowers & rose plants. My wife pulled up after work as I was doing this, just shook her head.

Go to your local tool hire company, ans ask for a sids drill (side impact drill) and a core bit, the core bil is basily a large hole saw for stone, brick etc.

I,m asuming the pipe your using is about 16 to 25mm (1"), i would recomen hireing a 32mm core bit, and buying a length of 32mm pipe, some clips and a few 90' bends from the plumbers/hardware shop.

I would also suggest using the tank tailings for watering in the garden. Not only is it using the water, the nitrates etc., that accumulate leading up to a water change are useful fertilisers.

I'm with the others.
Don't WASTE it use it to Water your Plants ain't No Better Fertilizer...

Run you a Pipe out the wall Keep it just ABOVE the tanks Top Edge to keep it from Siphonig, put a Valve on it to be sure if you'd like, just after the Connection before going through the Wall, Either use a 90 deg Elbow to Drop it strait down just after getting it through the Wall, or as soon as you get it through the wall Slant it a bit to Help it Completely Drain,This way it shouldn't Freeze and bust if you get COLD Frezzing Weather in your parts.
Put a Valve on it that is Garden Hose Size, So you can Water Whatever it is you have to Water with a Hose, Bucket whatever. Then you can unhook it and leave the valve open and it'll stay drained until Next Use and the Valve inside won't Let it Siphon out Without you knowing it.Unless you Put the pipe Connection just above your tank then you won't need a Valve at all.

Just an Idea, Without being able to See what you have, it's Hard to give Good Advice. :dunno:

And many would Say my advice ain't never that good anyhow... :X

That seems like a great idea..but one thing you need to consider...

If you ever decide to move..you will have to put it back like it should be...no one is going to buy a house with a pipe sticking out of the wall and leads outside.

Just something to think about before altering your home.

I say just buy a battery operated pump , run a hose through your window, and pump it out that way.

Now that would be to "SIMPLE" "EASY" and make to much "SENCE"
