For 10 years I've had a Hagen Waterhome 20 Gal Aquarium. I've had guppies, tetras, and mollies. Now that my last tetra has died of old age, I want to start fresh. Any ideas of what fish to get? Or should I convert my tank to a saltwater reef tank?

Can you post the dimensions of the tank and the hardness and pH of your water, please? We don't like to recommend species without knowing those :)

Your tank might be a bit small for a reef, and for a first time marine tank. Marine tanks do need to be kept very stable, and bigger tanks are easier to begin with. You'd need to spend a fair bit on new equipment as well; mostly lights and a protein skimmer.

You could do some of the smaller Gourami types if you'd like. Honey, Sunset, and chocolate gourami's are relatively smaller. You could do 4 Honey's or 4 Chocolate's in a 10 gal. I'd probably only do 2 Sunset's because you'll probably want a smaller pleco and maybe a cory.

My vote goes for a small group of shell dwelling cichlids.
