What is the ideal temperature to encourage RCS to breed? My water stats are fine but I've had no babies yet. I've had 5 since January (all female) so I got another 5 (4 are female, one I think is male); the male was one of the smaller two and I've had the second batch for at least 2 months. How old are they when they are ready to breed? It may be that he is still a little young?

Their tank is around 20oC.

Thank you :)

This may be of use to you...

I found it ages ago and stored it ready for when I start mine breeding
Here is where it's from

Oh right did you mean Red Cherry Shrimp?
I presumed you'd just miss typed CRS... I've never seen people use RCS as an abreviation...

That chart was for CRS... not red cherries. Red cherries are happy at much lower temperatures.

Hi, the temperature you at now is too low. I have cherry shrimps in my tank as well and i set mine at 24-25c, which i think is the best for breeding all kind tropical shrimps.

you should have full tank of shrimps in no time they're very easy to breed. enjoy and have fun

hope this help

go have a look at (www.aquashrimps.co.uk)

I was investigating my shrimp tank last night and one of them is full of eggs...fingers crossed it's not too cold for them to develop (getting them a heater next weekend)
