Id This Pleco?

Can someone tell from this shot what species of pleco this is? I know it's not the best picture, but my camera is broken:

i have one, ive had it for almost a year only 5 inches

:) good luck with it, mine hides alot but when he comes out i come running with the camera

Do you know exactly what species yours is? Because mine is about 5 inches long, and doesn't appear to be growing.
 
umm, alot of people say that commons are very fast growers, but from my experience they are very slow growers

he will grow very large in time, i don't know exactly the species all i know it common pleco

and both of ours will grow to atleast 2 feet

Well, I'm glad they grow slowly because I really don't want to get a bigger tank until I move (in 6 months to a year).
 
It depends on the individual really. Our old common grew very fast (3" in a month and a half). A lot of plecs seems to have spurts of growth too. Most commons grow quite fast until they hit 12-18". When we first bought De Niro (gibby) he didn't grow for 2 months (he was about 4-5"), and now he's shooting off.
