Sold as L333 but not convinced and think it's L134 (which I already have one of, when I got this into my tank I felt sure I was adding another L134)

However, there seems a diverse difference in markings on the Planet Catfish website

Thoughts?

i always thought that the L133 was a Scobinancistrus also looking at aqualog which is sometimes wrong but in the aqualog its a spotted plec not a stripped i believe the fish in your pictures are leapord frog L134

could be a L316 which i believe has smaller eyes and less teeth

I'm 100% sure from the photo its not 134, looks like quite a young fish, if that's the case it could potentially be quite a few hypan species but for now it does resemble a young 333 possibly 199 or 129 but a better pic would be better :good:

Will try hun but so hard to find them
He's a couple of inches long so think he's adult sized

If he/she is adult and only 2 inches then it definitely wont be 134, more inclined to say 129 at that size but even that's relatively small for even that species.

I know what you mean, pictures and plecs don't ever seem to go together but i think a closer, clearer shot would be needed to be completely sure of species.

Lovely looking plec whatever it turns out to be :)

On a mission to find my original L134 and picture that and then picture the new one and compare them, watch this space!
