Anyone who knows more about catfish care to help out? :)

Was sold as a "very peaceful [fish that] can be trusted with small tank mates which grows to 12 - 15cm".

Here's a link to the species profile the shop made for it:

Never heard of any small Pangasius spp., and I did have a good look a while ago when. If there's such thing then I'm thrilled...but I'm very doubtful.

The shop also sold him a Columbian shark catfish without mentioning their need for salt as adults, their large size or that they should be kept in groups. And it's not that he didn't ask.

awww man that is a harsh end of the deal, I have once seen a "dwarf" pangsius cant remember the name but was told that altough a dwarf would still grow to 20 inches but that was what I was told in a shop not what I read....

Looks like your too commonly seen, Pangasianodon hypophthalmus AKA a potential 50" monster

i agree it will get big, evan if it is one of the smaller types it will still get a few foot long.

Cool, thats what I said :). He's taking it back to the shop so thought I'd check first.

Cheers guys.
