Found this green thing on some lr and some weird flower type things on another piece, can anyone tell me what they are and if they are good or bad:

#1: Are you talking about the plant-like thing or the coral?
Coral looks like a paly
Plant-like thing looks like some macroalgae, looks too smooth for hair algae. Looks more like Chaeto

#2: Kinda looks like a plate coral
Good for you if it is! Not sure though, kinda of a weird hitch hiker to get, wait for a second opinion

EDIT: Looking at the other pictures of it in your journal, I'm less convinced. Is it completely soft or does it have a hard base?

Yes, #1 is either a zoa or paly, either are great corals and spread quick.

Feel the base of #2 and see.

EDIT: The only other thing I can think of is a majano anemone but the structure doesn't quite look right to me. Google it anyways and see what you think.

#1 does based on Google images looks like zoa.
#2 doesnt really look like majano anemone but maybe thats because it hasnt opened up fully yet.

Today will be their first day with the lights on for a decent amount of time so fingers crossed I will be able to get some better pics tonight.

So these are good then? is there anything special I should be doing to care for these?

Are these good then or should I be looking to remove them?

Zoas =good
Majano = bad and need to be removed

Thanks its only on one small piece of LR so rather than trying to kill it off and risk it spreading I might just get rid of that piece of rock.

So do Zoas have any benefit to the tank or do they just look nice.

that 2nd pic looks like mAjano to me

Sure it's not some kind of hairy shroom? I thought majanos usually have a smooth center with the bulb-like tentacles towards the edges rather than evenly distributed accross the disc.

I agree with Donya. As I said earlier, I'm not convinced it's a majano.
