Hypsophrys nicaraguensis and its central american but as davo86 says nicaragua cichlid is its most common name

what do you currently keep him with? i would avoid overly aggressive tankmates or they get bullied to much, unless ofcourse he is the same size or large enough to defend himself

I would have to say that mine is the most aggressive fish in my tank, harrassed her sister to death and bullies my GT, daemons and even has a go at the severums occassionally, she is getting worse the larger she gets too.
