Any ideas for this guy? he's about a cm tall... Sorry I can't get any better pics, oh and he walks around...

He doesn't look quite right to be aiptasia, so I haven't nuked him...

I see no reason to kill something before I know what it is. It isn't aiptasia, the aiptasia have many more tentacles, a thinner stem and much longer tentacles as well.

I can't gte any better pics, it's only a cm tall, like 1/5 of an inch... my camera doesn't do close focus like that too well.

Itf startled the thing kind of collapses in on itself turning into a little brown ball, and it slowly begins to extend again.

aiptasia can vary in sizes, but im not sure what that is

yah, but in comparison to the stem, aiptasia have much longer tentacles is what I meant...

Does look like aiptasia to me. Ive had them in all shapes sizes and to be honest colours too. depending on where they where in the tank and yes they do go walk about to find a better spot and will collapse down to a small ball if poked. You could alwasy leave till it gets a bit bigger, but in my experience these things can do a disaperaing act, only to reapear as a large monster thats just spawned 50 million babbies into your tank, then believe me you have a problem. That what happened to me and its taken me 6 months to finally get rid of them, and to be honest I'm still expecting a few to pop up just to spite me
