well i gotthis on a piece of live rock a while back and i didnt know what it was so i pulled it off and thought nothing of it left it on the floor. the next day it i placed it on a rock near the back where i couldnt see it and sinc it hassettled down it sort of opend like a clam or mussle only very slightly and when it does you can see white stuff inside it like you can see in this pic

it also has little tiny hairs on it as yu can see in the pic also. when i put my hand in the tank you can see it close over. so i know it is definately alive here is another pic to try to help

not much help but looks like a scallop of some kind.
as it is green probably a 'green scallop' for the common name
but Google just throws up recipes for that.
 
Agreed. It definitely looks like a scallop. You'll probably see him propelling himself round the tank in soon.
 
he hs been in that spot since i put him there about 3 weks ago. i done a lil reaserch and they realy are unpredictable. they are filter feeders and when they find a spot they stay there. when do you think he will start moving. hours, days, weeks, months.

also i have another hichiker. it has many tenticles i havent seen the body yet i dont even knw if it has one. it is not an aiptesia because it hasnt got a disk and its tenticles are too long too see through and too skinny. it strches its legs where ever it wants and they live in what seems to be previous feather duster tubes. i hve seen them before with just 2 lil tenticles poking out and thats bsicaly all i have seen of them until i moved them into my new marine tank. there are a few of them but i cant get a pic.
any ideas would be great
