been my lfs today an bought a 3" L18 Nugget for £19(think it was a good price)

after i bought it i spotted 2 bristle nose plec's which were 1"-2" Jet Black in colour, the eye catching bit is it has a bright White stripe on the top of its fin/tail with tiny little white speckles all over it,

what kind is this and are they worth £15 each?

cheers mike/linzi

after a quick search its sort of a cross between these 2- Peppermint Pleco (L-30) but finer an more spots, Magnum Pleco (L-47) but its a really thin line of white

was it like this...L183

thanks nelly,

is your pic of an adult? seems more coloured up to the 1's if seen but id say thats very like them, is this the only plec with theses markings?

also the 1's ive seen are small an at a distance you might not see the white dots, only on closer inspection i spotted them, as they grow older will they show theres spots more?

cheers mike/linzi n thanks

hi again in 99% this is it now

is this worth £15?

Hi that pic was from the internet, not sure but looks adultish, the one you posted is male...
um also you have <Acanthicus Adonis. But they have a very long fin exstention which iam sure you would have said about this and they dont have this white stripe

L183 are sought after, can be very sensitive and are usually only available either this time of year or from a breeder.

As for price, Pier had near adults for £10 but that was 2 years ago, as with anything, if you are willing to pay £15 then that is what it is worth to you. I'd research their needs first though before splashing out.
