Hi all
We recently got ourself another tank a 4ft one which is very nice ,The prev owner had a Catfish as well so decided to adopt it.
Now firts i will apologise for the pics but the Catfish will not stay still or hides behind anything it can find

is there any way of one of you super experts to id him or her. :good:

Ill describe it as best I can

its got a pointy thorn on its top fin-it got stuck in our net when trying to put it in our tank.
It has like a second skin round its head which forms jaggered point patterns around its face.
Its a murky brown colour
Curranty at 6 to 7 inches and we love it to bits-so so glad we rescued it !!!!
Anyway
can you help me id it ,I do want to get some better pics for our records but its proving hard

Any help or ideas appreciated as we want to feed it the proper food and give it its ideal habitat.

Well its a Synodontis species and guessing from the size and upside down swimming habbit i would say its probably Synodontis eupterus.

Hi It does look similar to our others
As we have two feather fins already in other tanks
This one has no spots or stripes.I thought they keep some spots in adult hood?..

Thanks

Antony
