Id My Catfish Please :)

In the process of changing over from a Malawi to a tropical community. Have taken most the fish back to LFS (for credit ), but was hoping to keep the cat for the new tank. Am trying to ID him first, and then find out if he is gna be ok for a community (4ft tank, 300l). He is about 6" long.

edit: at 6" is fully grown and would be fine with all but the smallest community species
