Further to my obsession and the fact that I want to run before I can walk, I have enrolled on a course at our local college. It's only 3 nights a week and I hope to get a certificate at the end to say that I am a qualified Ichthylogist.
Then I will get myself a hut...not a fish hut..but a fish lab hut.
Anybody else STUDIED fishkeeping?

Rose' hobby is fish disease and I'm the mad sceintist, you don't want to know what comes out of my tank and goes straight under the microscope. oh yeah I bet you to it. I have a lab in the flat and a fish hut  all I need now is an electron microscope and a particle accelerator.

Well I just looked at my local college to see what courses they do. It looks like I'm going back there soon. Just found out I'm out a job next month

Is this the local college your doing this course

Yeah Davy, hope to start in September. They run a number of out of the ordinary courses. You can practically take an NVQ in anything these days. I have one for Customer Services.
I'm sorry to hear that you're out of a job next month. This may sound a silly question, but how did that happen?
It's none of my business, but have you thought about how you are going to manage financially, especially if you go to college full time? You will probably need to finance your own college- from either a loan/grant which is repayable. Unless of course you have a secret stash of greens hidden away.lol
If neither you nor your good lady wife are working, how will you manage. There are no state benefits to help you out if you are attending F/T college. O.K tell me to mind my own business....

We I've worked for the mod since school, but after my aprenticeship I've never had a full time contract and this is the end of a fixed term contract.
I was only thinking about part-time courses. Maybe some computer ones for the internet and stuff. Plus I noticed on the site that the fees are waved is your on income support. I'll use this to prop up my CV to hopefully get a better job than the last one. I'd love to work for myself but would have to find something with no capital ;)

To get Income Support you need to be registering for Job seekers alowance. Then depending the amount of contribution you've paid will determine if you receive JSA (IB)income based or JSA(CB) contributory based. OR of course the alternative is Incapacity Benefit.
