Does anyone know how long it takes for the white spots to fall off after you start treating ich ?

in my experience...forever...evil, evil parasite........<unsuitable language for all ages board><goes to pet store to get new anti whitespot med to try as current one is blatently useless>

I'm currently at two weeks and counting with Interpret Anti whitespot plus. In fact I think its actually making things worse not better...What med are you using?

THe white spots will start falling off a few days after you notice them. The cyst falls to the bottom of the tank and then after a few more days releases tons more protzoans to infect more fish. So to add to this once the spots fall off the disease is not gone but merely in a dormant stage it will then become freeswimming again and it is at this time that your meds actually work. So once the white spots are gone keep treating until your fish are spot free for at least 10 days.

I have used Quick Cure with great results.
