Ich?

I recently moved my new betta to a 10g tank with some neons and cories. Within 4 minutes of putting him in the tank, he got his first white dot. Fifteen minutes later, he had multiply white dots on his body and fins. Is it possible for ich to show up this quickly?

All the other fish in my tank are fine and I moved my betta back to his small bowl in which there seems to be no real change to the number of white dots on his body.

Any advice on what I should do?

When moving it you may have stressed the poor thing and it may have been susceptible to the parasites already in the tanks water. So yes, it is possible that you are seeing the early stages of Ich/White spot.

I recomend you get some medication. But before adding it or even buying it you should make sure its Ich. Adding uneeded medication can cause its own problems.

I also find that keeping the lights off and covering the tank to keep it totally dark for a few days also helps.
