Ich....yikes

Hello....i know this isnt a question about live bearers...but i only have livebearers so i am posting it here

I have ich in my tank and i am trying to cure it....I am using this stuff called Quick Cure for ich and other parasites....

i just wanted to know what other people do to try and get rid of there ich because i want my tank cleared up as fast as possible

Add salt to the tank as well one tablespoon to 5gal, turn temp up to 30 gradually, gravel vac before you redose help's remove the parasites out of the gravel.

I agree with wilder. Increase temp, put in salt (be careful if you have catfish, though, I think they're not tolerant of salt, also kuhli loach and maybe other kinds of fish), vacuum bottom. For medication, I also put in malachite green.

Thank you for all of your help....i cannot add salt because i have an albino catfish and a tetra (i dunno if the tetra would like it)

I have increased the temperature to 78 and i will continue to gradually increase it until it is 80 or 82 i think it said.....

I use a product called easy cure for ich and parasites...which contains melanite green ....hopefully it will be gone soon!
