ich white spot

ive got ich in my tank and white spot i had a 2 kissing gouramis one died to ich and white spot now the other one is covered and had this for 2 months now ive moved him to another tank none of the other fish have white spot but keep rubbing themselves on things can anyone help ive turned the temp to 80 and put the meds in but dont seem to be working

what other kind of fish do you have in the tank??? If you have scaless fish you cannot add salt. to rid your tank of ich without meds. and a lot less stress to your fish is to slowly rasie your temp. to 85 degrees and add salt. do daily water changes about 15 percent and do a gravel vac. The parasite cannot survive this high temps. It will take 10 days or so. I have found this is the best way to cure your tank of ich. It works for me and I have seen it work for a lot of other people to.

what kind of meds are you using? i have used jungle's ick clear, which is good. i would still treat the other tank cause the ick could be there, you just cant't see it yet.

Do 2 water changes a day if possible? Raise temp slowly1 degree every 2 hrs or so!
