Well, I just got my fish today, and the little one of the two might have white spots all over him/her. It didn't eat as much as the bigger one, but i'm still worried. Could it have ich? I'll try and post some pics shortly...

Come on guys I really need help, the GSP isn't eating...

Its so hard to tell.... that looks more like a blotch to me. Once my GSP nearly got stuck in the syphon hose, he puffed and everything.... anyways, the hose had scraped his skin a little and for a while he looked like that!

Thing is, he never went off his food tho. Got any baby brine shrimp? (as in frozen food from lfs) while not very nutricious he may go for some of that.

Ah just noticed you got them today.... well for starters are they in brackish water? did you know what the specific gravity was of the LFS's water they were in?

For starters they could be in shock through water param changes...... secondly they often dont eat too much for the first week in their new environment.

Sorry if I'm teaching granny to suck eggs but you've not commented on your experience or water params.

At that size my GSPs are in water with a SG of 0.008.

Yes I am at .008 and the other GSP is so fat and has no white spots... Also, the little one looks at food, goes after it, but then stops and turns before eating...

And yes I am feeding my fish just brine shrimp at the moment, I will later get frozen bloodworms...
