I am treating my fish for ich in my 75g tank. I am using Seachem Paragaurd. It does not say anything at all about removing the carbon from the filter, although I already did.

I would like to know if I need to remove my marineland ammonia chips from the filter as well. My ammonia level has been just a bit above 0 for a week or 2 so I added the chips to help the situation. I know the ich my have been brought about by the higher ammonia, but I would still like to treat it and keep the ammonia chips if possible.

Does anyone know if this can be done or will they absorb the medication also?

Thanks
Ray

I'm not familiar with the marineland chips, but many other ammonia lock products do contain carbon so be sure to check before you leave it in. If it does not contain carbon you should be okay. I'm certainly no expert however. GOOD LUCK
