I would love to keep a Silver Arowana, I think they are an amazing fish. However, i am not sure if it will be compatible with my current fish? ( See Signature ).

Any information and advice please guys would be greatly appreciated.

No not possible sorry, alot of those fish will end up as food for the Arowana and the tank will not be larger enough to hold a Silver Arowana for life. A Black Arowana or Jardini Arowana could live in a 6' 180g tank so if you considered re-stocking and upgrading in time then it is possible.

Thanks for your reply Ryn, I have just finished the tank and got it how I like, we have moved the Tin Foil barbs and parrotts into another tank due to them eating a few ottos unfortunalty.

I will have to just look at them in the LFS for now, thanks again though.

As said a lot of your fish would disapear if you added a silver arowana to your tank, they can grow up to 48 inches and can consume fishes up to 1/4 of their own size easily, tankmates need to grow to a minimum of 12" to be safe. A black arowana would be the safest option as these usually dont grow as large in captivity as the silvers but they will still require a minimum of a 6x2x2 tank, i wouldnt advise a jardini as it would rip your other fish to shreds.
