OK so these pics are about a year old but I was bored and I saw Betta_luver gerbils and wondered if mine were ever that size. Sadly I have no pics that far back and these were taken about a year ago. But the little pests are nearly 4 years old now and still going strong so they ain't changed much and sadly neither has their cage. I kinda ran out of inspiration as my real passion is the snake and fish so they have been stuck with the same lay-out most of their lives. Anyway enough rambling.

It should probably be mentioned I don't have a favorite the black one just won't stay still

One last one I found couldn't tell you when it was taken ( apart from at Halloween) but it is pretty smart.

:D

Your gerbils are really cute and they must be pretty good because they are living a good long life!

I <3 Your gerbils

Ahhh, they are very cute :good:

not knowing much (or rather anything) about gerbils, do they not also use/need an excercise wheel?

No not like hamsters do. Sometimes they are not even liked it all depends on the gerbil. My girls like their wheel but my friends gerbil, Demon, hated the wheel. :p

The problem with wheels is that they are either chewed or are hazardous to gerbils tails and feet. So i never bothered. They are active enough that they soon burn up the energy in a 4ft tank ;)

when I kept gerbils as a kid, i was told not to use a wheel, as they could get their tails tangled up, don't know if there's any truth in that though. I used to block the stairs at the top and bottom, and they spent hours running up and down the steps.

I love gerbils..last one we had I felt sorry for he was last in a pet shop in a dirty cage. brought him home and he wouldnt chew cardboard...then he started getting thin....course it was his teeth...so I had to trim them every few months we got quite used to it..I was really sad when he died....

awww. ive just got gerbils and they are adorable!! i love them :) glad i got a different home for them though, the first tank they were in was glass and everytime they moved something it made such a noise!
