I think most fish do have tiny little ridges of cartilage that are teeth-like in their mouths, they use to grip/mash their food a bit. I remember noticing it when I was removing fishing hooks from fish's mouths when I used to fish as a kid.

Yes,and an extremely powerful bite. That which is equivalent to a sharks bite (a tiny,tiny shark). So yes,basically...they chew.
