i would like everyones opinions on what the MOST aggressive fish that can go in a 20 gal would be.

i was thinking pignose puffer, but wanted to know what everyone else thinks.

thanks

It depends on what you mean by aggressive. Do you mean aggressive when in a community tank with other types of fish? Or do you mean aggressive to any fish in general, and has to be kept in a 20 by itself?

How about an aquatic frog. Those thing are quiet aggressive. Will eat live feeder fish. I had a friend who kept 2 with his oscar.

How about a Red eyed puffer fish (Carinotetradon lortedi), a small but aggressive and violent pufferfish. Only attaining a size of 3" this fish will tolerate no tankmates of any kind. The fish is a true FW puffer which dislikes salt and water with a high pH.

I think a 20 gal would be way too small for a Pignose Puffer, maybe 1 Green Spotted, but even they should be in a 29 gal or larger. For an aggressive fish for a 20 gal maybe try the Red-eye puffer (Carinotetraodon lortedi), they are smaller (about 3 in max) and just as aggressive from what I've read.

edit:    ...great minds think alike CFC, you just type faster
