I want a clear tube for my tank

Can I get something like that at a hardware store or is it a fish thing? Also while I'm at it I want to buy some plain blue background. My lfs is expensive ($5 for one to fit my 20 long).

No a tunnel thing for my fish to go into. They have them in the tanks at the LFS but they don't sell them. I thought about using pvc but I want to be able to see them in there. lol. Or would that defeat the purpose of a tunnel?

btw that gives me an idea. I could buy a gravel vac and use that for the tunnel. They're kind of long though..

Oh, I get it. I've never seen clear PVC but if anyone would have it it would be Home Depot. Maybe you can check their web-site.

Cut the gravel cleaner tube in half?

I'm not sure if the fish would use a clear tube. Maybe if you covered half of it with gravel...

Home Depot or Rona for the tube. Try Britstol Board for the background.

Unless you have a fish that uses electric waves to help it find where things are (Species of knife fish for exmple), it is pointless to have a clear tube with normal fish.

okay never thought of them not seeing it. lol. I'll get some pvc or a tube type fishtank decoration and put it so that I can see through it.

I got some clear tubing for my tank from a LPS in the mice/hamster section.....it is tinted all sorts of colours and is completely clear.....

I never thought about the fish not seeing it though.....I'll have to put it in there and see how they react.....
