Does anyone know where you can get a tetratec ex1200 cheap I need about 6.

Came home, looked at my 20 and saw the filter lying down on the sand, lifted it up and saw a squished bolivian ram.

Hes alive but not moving, what do you think I should do?

I will not use an internal again, not just for this reason but for many others like;

Needs cleaning nearly everyday
Clogged up easily
Cheaply made (the cheap ones)
Doesn't last long
And many more..

The clip that the suckers are on was snapped which caused it to brake, I didnt know it was broke til after.

Externals all the way!

shame you had so many problems with internals i like my old internal despite it looking crap inside the tank but now I'm running 2 ex1200 :) there amazing :) you can get them of ebay was a few going couple of days ago igot one of them tho :p but i found cheapest site where i got my first one from is here Aquatic warehouse its £89.45
:) its the V2 and i have to admit best filter i have ever had :D

Um, nope. This is a freak accident, I've never heard of this happening before.

I have a fluval plus that I bought second hand over 7 years ago. It's still functioning perfectly apart from starting to get a bit louder,so I am thinking of replacing it and having it as a spare. I rarely have to change it or rinse it or unclog it. Buy cheap, get cheap!

As for the ram, hopefully it's just in a bit of shock.

Ram died :(
He stopped breathing and was floating around

Was really starting to get attached to it

Never using an internal again.

I really dont know how the clip broke and how the ram got caught under it :(

James (Verminator89) is selling a tt 1200 and a fluval 305 in the cassifieds. £40 and £30 respectively.

Sorry to hear the bad news also btw. :(

Thanks guys and thanks minnnt, will have a look.

I think its because I went for the cheaper version as money was tight around the time.
Never again will I buy anything cheap for my tanks!
